More than an Equine Laundry Service

About Us

           We are a family owned and operated company that has been in business for ten years. We started the company as a family venture and grown from there. Our youngest daughter was into all aspects of horses, therefore we were at some sort of horse function every weekend or at a barn practicing and training. It seemed natural to incorporate all that time into another form of passion. When we soon found out the costs involved in “clothing” our horses and the same care of laundering should be taken with our horses blankets as we took with our own laundry. Thus, we came up with the idea to develop the laundry service you know and use today.

           We are an “in house” laundry service. All the washing, blanket and/or leather repairs, blade sharpening and clipper services are completed here at our office in Duvall. We strive in being able to guarantee our services and know the quality of our services meet our high standards of workmanship.

OUR PROCESS

           We take great care to realize the “shrink factor” in ALL items we wash and therefore wash in cold water only, with a  bio-degradable, no phosphate, disinfective soap. This ensures no added stress on the materials or break down of the waterproof fabric that turn out blankets consist of. We include several rinses per wash cycle in our oversized commercial washers to ensure the extraction of all soap residue. Horses with sensitive skin greatly appreciate this feature! All of our washers are front load and use the “drop wash” system to eliminate stress on the blankets. Our entire office contains an “ in floor heating” system for all laundry drying purposes. In floor heating ensures a constant and even drying time for blankets. Without the assistance of “in floor heating” blankets can take up to a week to “line dry”. Blankets take a brief tumble in a no heat oversized dryer, taking off any excessive hair and giving your blanket a little fluff before we send it back to you.

PICK-UP SLIPS & RUBBER ID TAGS

           When we started this business we quickly realized the importance of being able to track and document every blanket from the time we pick it up at your barn to the time we drop it back off. We devised a pick up slip, filled out by the customer, giving us the ability to keep track of it. Many customers have asked in amazement our ability to keep track of blankets, here is our secret; with a  combination of a paper trail (pick-up slip) a permanent rubber name tag and a color coded number, we can always keep your blankets identified and tracked.  We are extremely proud of our rubberized ID tags. We can’t take all the credit of this idea, with the coaxing of Mitzie Shield of Shield Ranch, a long time client, the rubber ID tag has been a blanket saver on more than one occasion!
